Terry Poovey Condition Report - Monday June 26, 2006
Over 100,000 hits to this site in a month. That is totally awesome! You guys
continue to amaze me.  Terry is doing great. He is still in a coma but is doing fine and breathing
mostly without the respirator. He has developed some secondary infections
but they are being treated pro-actively.  He continues to progress nicely and respond to therapy. Keep praying! He has
a long way to come.

We are waiting on you to come back Terry.

Thank you.

Terry Poovey Condition Report Tuesday June 20, 2006 Today we have good news to report on Terry. While still in a coma, he went 10 hours yesterday and 15 hours today with out the ventilator. They are weaning him off and soon he will be free of the respirator. They also started with physical therapy today. The family is tired but in good spirits and continue to be overwhelmed at the outpouring of support from all the friends and fans from around the world. Keep those prayers and well wishes coming!

Terry Poovey Condition Report Monday June 19, 2006 Terry is back in Texas and responding to treatment in Big Texas. Yeeeee--Haaaaaa! His docs and medical staff continue to wean him off of the respirator. Although still unconscious, he moves his limbs involuntarily and seems to be doing well. We are all hopeful he will back back with us soon.  Keep those messages coming in the guest book. Submit a story or picture or two to his WEB site. Most of all keep the prayers, well wishes and positive thoughts heading Terry's way.

A special thanks to all of those who have given to Terry Fund being administered by AIR. I have heard there was over $5000 given at the Syracuse Mile and in the NW the riders raised over $300. This combined with all of your other gifts are helping Terry's family .

Terry Poovey Condition Report - Saturday June 17, 2006  Yesterday, Friday June 16, 2006 Terry was flown by air-ambulance back to Dallas. He is home where he can be attended to by all of his friends and extended family of friends and fans. Terry is in the hospital in Dallas. He is still in a coma and on the ventilator, however given the stress of Friday is doing well. We are expecting great things this coming week. I know we all want him to wake up and get off of the ventilator and breathe for himself. Hence, your continued prayers, good thoughts and well wishes are greatly appreciated.

In the condition he is in Terry is only allowed visitors from the family. However, as soon as he is awake I am sure he will want all the company he can get as he travels down the tough re-hab road ahead.

Once again. Thank you all. For those of you at the races today. Be safe and good racing

Condition Report Thursday June 15, 2006 Today was a GOOD day. All the approvals are in to move Terry back to the DFW area. This will be accomplished tomorrow via AIR-Ambulance. Terry continues to improve in small ways and is actively being weaned off of the ventilator. He is still in a coma but we know he is fighting his way back. Tonight Teddy is making him listen to the Dallas Maverics game so he may just wake up and tell his brother to please change the channel to the speed channel. When Terry gets settled in his new hospital we'll let everyone know where is and how he’s doing. So tonight's assignment is prayers, positive thoughts and well wishes for Terry to have a safe and comfortable trip as well as for his continued improvement. Thank you all again. You are great

Thursday and Friday Condition Report:June 8 and 9th 2006

I spoke with Kathey this morning. Terry is in good hands and all is very positive.  He has accepted the feeding tube and breathing tube. It is pretty much a waiting game at this point. For all those waiting for a report everyday, please be patient.  If things are the same as the previous day we will not be posting that "there is no change." I understand that you want to know all that is going on and we want to provide Terry's fan base with such news, but sometimes there is no such news. As your Mother once said " No News is Good News".  Terry still needs your prayers.  Thank you for your love and support.
