Thanksgiving was wonderful and quiet at the home of Terry Poovey. He celebrated the holiday with his family at home. Yes, at home.
After 6 months of medical treatment and extensive rehabilitation, Terry has started the outpatient portion of his therapy. He is in rehab from morning to evening then spending his nights at home with his Wife Kathey, Daughter Katey and Brother Teddy. They care for him in the evenings and in the morning and take him to and from rehab.
Terry is working very hard to regain his lost strength and capabilities. Although he has many months of full time outpatient rehab in front of him the outlook is positive and we're still in hopes of him making a complete recovery.
While not ready yet for visiting and phone calls, Terry and Kathey sit down daily and read your cards, emails and guestbook greetings so keep them coming. He truly looks forward to hearing from all of you.
This holiday season brings a cascade of feelings and thoughts to everyone's mind. In this season of thankfulness the Poovey family wants you to know how thankful they are for the prayers, support and love given to them and Terry over the last six months. Rarely do we as humans have the opportunity to make a measurable difference in someone's life. Know that each of you have made a difference to Terry this year.
Thank you and may God bless you and your loved ones.
