Terry.. I talked with Kenny Tolbert at Daytona who let me know how well you are doing, so I thought this would be a great time to share what has been going on with you lately.

I am sure you know that we all miss you and at every Daytona many hear a buzz that you are going to make a visit.. Is this something that may happen this year at one of the tracks on the circuit?

Thank you, I miss everyone also. I wish I could have made Daytona, maybe next year. I would like to see a mile race, Springfield or Indy, possibly this season… I miss racing.

I have heard that you were in a parking lot recently, Care to share what that was all about?

I wanted to show Kathey I could drive…. And, I did!!... it felt a little weird. When you haven’t driven as long as I haven’t, it’s learning to drive all over again. It’ll be a while before I get a drivers license.

Knowing how much racing means to you, do you still follow it now ?

Oh yeah. I tune in to the internet when there’s a race and I read Cycle News every week and have a few buddies that keep me up with the latest and greatest of what’s goin’ on.

We are super excited that you are getting better everyday and back to the good ol’ Terry; what are you doing to occupy your time on the weekends?

I watch any kind of racing on TV and ride my stationary bike. I’ve also been trying to clean out my garage and organize it, a section at a time. 30 years of racing will clutter a garage and attic. (so Kathey thinks)

Have you set any goals for yourself?

My goal is to get back where I was before the accident. It’s been a long road, but I’m going to do it. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 3 years.

Any funny moments you can share with us?

Kathey and Teddy have some stories of me being in the hospital they think are hilarious. You’ll have to ask them.

What type of therapy are you currently a part of now?

Physical therapy, strength training, lots of walking and riding a stationary bike. It’s all about strength and balance.

I must ask, Terry, Typically men are "bad" patients do you fit in that category or are you more of your other name sake "Pooh Bear"?

I’ve been told I wasn’t a pleasant patient at the end of my hospital stay. Coming home changed that and I’m grateful for my family and their patience.

Did you vote in November? Are you happy with the outcome?

 I did vote. I’m happy.

Your daughter got married recently, (Congrats) and you were able to walk her down the aisle. How wonderful was that?

It was a God given blessing… one of my proudest moments.

Last year was quite the year for you, being inducted into the Hall of Fame must have been an unbelievable experience, did it measure up to your expectations? What was the highlight of that experience?

Being inducted into the HOF was a great experience and beyond my expectations. It’s still overwhelming to think about. The folks at the museum were great. The highlight, by far, was seeing all the people that turned out to support me. That just made it more special. It’s an honor being along side all the great racers.

Any predictions of the racers this year? Have you picked a favorite to follow this season?

Not really any predictions. I was happy to see Joe Kopp get him a Daytona win… awesome! I still like to follow Chris Carr.

Thanks for your time.. Looking forward to seeing you both soon I hope.

Thank you Jennifer and for all you do. We hope to see you soon as well.
